Giving Back
These last two years have been rough for many, and I find myself yearning to help, to connect to something greater, to do what I can to make a difference in someone's life.
There are many organizations to support, but when I met with the Directors of Pila Global, something about their preschool project just resonated, and so I committed to fund healthy meals, hopefully for an entire year, to all the students at the Nest Zimbabwe preschool. This is a preschool created by @pilaglobal just last month, that offers 60 orphaned & poverty stricken 3-6 year olds a free, safe, beautiful school to grow & learn at. Many of these kids don't get much to eat at home & so I am so grateful to be able to raise funds to assure them a full healthy meal & snack!
100% of funds will all be used to purchase food for the children in the Nest. The breakdown cost of the food is currently $400 a month. The food is purchased on a weekly basis and includes: Bread, MaizemealVegetables (greens, carrots, onions etc), RiceEggsSoy 'chunks' (this is what they're called in Zim. They look and taste like meat.), Beans, Potatoes, Peanut butter, Fruit, Milk
