Part of trying to live a little bit more sustainably has been trying to seek out products and companies that are not only non-toxic -ingredient wise- but also pay attention to their containers & packaging. Single use plastic packaging is taking a devastating toll on our Planet . In a 2019 Greenpeace report called “Packaging Away the Planet”, they explain:
“ Most single-use plastics are not or cannot be recycled properly, and thereby end up polluting our oceans, waterways, and communities, negatively impacting our health directly, as well as the health of land- and marine-based ecosystems.”
Something as simple as avoiding plastic packaging is a great and so very important step to help the Planet.
